Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Sovah Health - Martinsville location is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to stock and maintain hospital supplies, process shipments, and support efficient patient care operations.

The role requires the ability to learn multiple computer systems, English communication, and a high school diploma (preferred). Full-time, in-person work with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak, understand).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with inventory or supply stocking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock units with office and medical supplies and prepare requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Receive shipments, log receipts, enter data into inventory system, deliver items to departments, and report damages to management.
• Perform periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and adjust records as needed.

The Supply Chain Team has meaningful impact on high-quality patient care in supporting all hospital departments. As a member of the team, you get to make a different in the patient safety and health outcomes within our community.

Sovah Health is a regional health care delivery system with 2 hospital campuses - Danville and Martinsville. Each facility has a 24/7 Emergency Room, Outpatient Imaging Center, and over 20 primary and specialty care physician clinics. Our Danville location is also a teaching hospital that trains medical students and physician residents specializing in family and internal medicine.

How You'll Contribute

A Supply Chain Technician who excels in this role is responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations:

• Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into inventory system, delivers items to departments or facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management.
• Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed.
