Job summary

McLaren is seeking a dedicated patient services representative to set up exams, procedures and tests and handle inquiries. You will contact patients by phone, determine the appropriate exam or test, and schedule appointments accordingly, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

You will verify patient and insurance information, educate patients on preparation, and maintain accurate records for technologists and future reference.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience, preferably in health care.
• Prior scheduling experience preferred.
• Schedule: Full-time.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and contact patients to determine the exam/test and schedule.
• Review screening form and verify patient and insurance information for accuracy.
• Educate patients on exam/test preparation and answer related questions.
• Update patient records with notes for technologist, customer, or future reference.
• Follow site protocols and keep protocol documentation up-to-date to ensure compliance.

1. Deliver quality customer service by answering incoming phone calls or contacting patients by phone to determine appropriate exam/test/procedure and schedule patient appropriately.
2. Review screening form and obtain/verify patient and insurance information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Ensure best possible customer service by properly educating the patient on the exam/test/procedure preparation and answering related questions.
4. Update patient record, including any notes necessary for the technologist, customer, or future reference.
5. Follows site‑specific protocols and keeps protocol documentation up‑to‑date to ensure compliance.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred:

• Prior scheduling experience.
