Stratton Mountain Resort is hiring a Ticket Scanner for the season. You will validate every ticket or season pass at the lift, delivering first-class mountain experiences and clear communication to guests.

This seasonal, part-time position pays $20.00 per hour with ongoing recruitment through December. Ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and engages well with guests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years of age or older.
• Able to work outside for long periods in cold/wet conditions.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Good problem solving and independent work ethic.
• Comfortable operating with electronic equipment.

Responsabilités

• Ensure RFID gate reads guests passes accurately.
• Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of the maze.
• Open and close pinch points to maintain traffic flow.
• Be aware of all ticket types and prices.
• Assist guests and respond to inquiries.
• Stay informed about mountain events and operations.
• Troubleshoot RFID gates and tablet equipment as needed.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Ticket Scanners are responsible for ensuring every ticket or season pass is validated each time the guest rides the lift. This involves engaging with and providing a first-class mountain adventure for each and every guest, communicating clearly and making split second decisions to ensure proper ticket validation. This is a seasonal position with part-time opportunities, paid at $20.00/hr.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

• Ensure RFID gate reads guests passes
• Assist with the orchestration, set up, and breakdown of maze
• Open and close pinch points as needed for maximum traffic flow
• Be aware of all ticket types and prices
• Assist and respond to guest inquiries
• Must have current information about the mountain and events
• Ability to troubleshoot RFID gates and tablet equipment
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements

• Must be at least 14 years of age or older
• Able to work outside for long periods of time in inclement weather
• Reliable transportation to/from work
• Must be able to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate and problem solve independently
• Must be comfortable working with electronic equipment
• Ability to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Actively pursuing a High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience, preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work weekends and holidays.
