Stratton is seeking a lift operator for a seasonal position in Vermont. You will load and unload guests from the ski lift, engage with guests, and make quick safety decisions to ensure a premier mountain experience.

The role pays $20.00 per hour and offers opportunities for both part-time and full-time schedules during the season, with ongoing recruitment through December.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.
• Able to work outside in all weather.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must complete Lift Operation training prior to work.
• Ability to communicate and solve problems effectively.
• Motivated to provide great customer service.
• Previous lift operation experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet and welcome guests while loading/unloading the ski lift.
• Answer guest questions in a courteous manner.
• Follow lift opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure safety signs/equipment are in place and safe.
• Troubleshoot RFID gates and tablet equipment as needed.
• Keep lift buildings and area well maintained.
• Update signage and clocks daily.
• Open/close maze lanes for maze operation; assist as needed.
• Give verbal/non-verbal commands to guide guests.
• Make quick speed adjustments to ensure guest safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The lift operator is responsible for orchestrating the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of all guests while riding the ski lift. This involves engaging with and providing a first-class mountain adventure for each and every guest, communicating clearly and making quick decisions to ensure safe operation of the ski lift. This is a seasonal position with part time and full-time opportunities, paid at $20.00/hr. Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

• Greet and welcome each guest while loading and unloading the ski lift
• Respond to all guest inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner
• Follow all lift opening and closing procedures
• Ensure all safety signs, mats, seat pads, and safety cones are in place, clear, and safe
• Ability to troubleshoot RFID gates and tablet equipment
• Keep lift buildings and lift area well maintained
• Ensure daily signage is up to date and clocks set properly
• Close and open maze lanes for effective maze operation, assist in maze orchestration
• Give verbal and non-verbal commands as needed to help guide guests
• Must be able to make quick decisions regarding lift speed to ensure guest safety
• Additional duties as assigned
