SA Recycling LLC is seeking a Scale Operator to accurately weigh trucks entering and leaving the yard while delivering courteous customer service. You will handle documentation, log updates, and weigh ticket processing for end-of-day processing.

Responsibilities include assisting with pricing questions, maintaining records, and supporting office staff as needed. The role requires punctuality and reliability in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail to prevent data entry errors and ensure accuracy.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with suppliers and coworkers.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a challenging environment with good organizational and mathematical skills; multi-tasking capability.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Precisely weigh trucks entering and leaving the yard while providing courteous customer service to suppliers and drivers.
• Complete required documentation for trucks and loads; maintain logs; process weigh tickets for end-of-day processing.
• Test scales for accuracy and report malfunctions to the General Manager.
• Process payments and keep accurate records of all transactions.
• Assist suppliers with questions on pricing and materials accepted; maintain account contacts for continued business.
• Cross train and back up other office personnel as needed.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
