Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a Scale Operator in Wright City, MO. The role requires precise weighing of all trucks entering and leaving the yard, along with courteous customer service to suppliers and company drivers.

You will complete all required documentation and logs, sort weigh tickets, and process end-of-day reports. The position entails testing scales for accuracy, reporting issues, and maintaining accurate transaction records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail to prevent data entry errors.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with suppliers and co-workers.
• Ability to multi-task in a challenging environment and good organizational math skills.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry-specific software.
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weigh trucks entering and leaving the yard with accuracy and provide courteous customer service.
• Complete all required documentation and logs for trucks and loads; process weigh tickets for end-of-day processing.
• Participate in scale testing and report malfunctions or concerns to management.
• Process payments and maintain exact records of all transactions.
• Assist suppliers with questions on pricing and materials accepted; maintain account contacts.
• Cross-train and back up other office personnel as needed.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
