The position involves indoor/outdoor work in varying weather, applying safety standards, and interacting with suppliers and drivers to promote continued business. A high school diploma is required, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail to prevent data entry errors.
• Ability to develop and strengthen positive working relationships with suppliers and co-workers.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to multi-task in a challenging environment; good organizational and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Weigh trucks entering and leaving the yard with exactness while delivering courteous service to suppliers and company drivers.
• Complete all required documentation for trucks and loads; maintain logs and end-of-day weigh tickets.
• Test scales for accuracy and report malfunctions to the General Manager.
• Process payments and keep precise records of all transactions.
• Assist suppliers with pricing questions and materials types and maintain account contacts.
• Cross train and back up other office personnel as needed.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
