Job summary

SA Recycling LLC is seeking a Weighmaster to manage inbound and outbound truck scales, document loads, and direct drivers to unloading areas. The role includes processing payments and maintaining accurate transaction records.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational and math skills, experience with scale systems, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. This position involves outdoor and indoor work and a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience operating truck scales, preferably in scrap metal, mining, agricultural or similar.
• Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and employees.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with good organizational and mathematical skills, basic negotiation skills, and multi-tasking ability.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office and basic industry software.

Responsibilities

• Operate scale to weigh inbound and outbound trucks.
• Review, inspect, and document inbound loads.
• Direct drivers to proper yard location for loading/unloading.
• Complete required documentation for vehicles and loads entering or leaving the yard.
• Test scales for accuracy and report malfunctions to the General Manager.
• Process payments and keep accurate records of all transactions.
• Assist customers with questions on pricing and types of materials accepted and maintain contact to promote business.
