Job summary

Casella is seeking a Scale Operator to provide clerical and administrative support at transfer stations. You will weigh inbound/outbound materials, process outbound Bill of Ladings, and ensure releases match hauler numbers.

You will answer inquiries, maintain files, schedule activities, generate standard reports, and assist the dispatch team as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1–3 years of related industrial experience, and the ability to work legally in the US.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related industrial experience.
• Ability to work in a team and be legally eligible to work in the US.
• Experience in environmental/sustainability field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows company standards, procedures and safety regulations.
• Provides excellent customer service and communicates with drivers, staff, and customers.
• Maintains accurate scale operations and records for factual reporting.
• Communicates effectively with drivers, customers and staff to provide efficient service.
• Assists customers by delivering excellent service and building strong relationships.
• Coordinates loading/unloading of materials, machinery, and loads at the facility.
• Interfaces with drivers, outside haulers, and third-party vehicles to ensure proper job functions.
• Participates in training and other opportunities to expand knowledge and support company mission.
