Job summary

Casella is seeking a Scale Operator to provide clerical and administrative support at transfer stations. You will weigh inbound/outbound materials, process outbound Bill of Ladings, and ensure releases match hauler numbers.

You will answer inquiries, maintain files, schedule activities, generate standard reports, and assist the dispatch team as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1–3 years of related industrial experience, and the ability to work legally in the US.

Position Summary

The Scale Operator provides professional clerical and administrative support to the division by assisting managers, employees, and customers, and by providing coverage and support at the transfer stations. The incumbent isresponsible for weighing inbound and outbound materials at the transfer station facilities, processing outbound Bill of Ladings, and ensuring that material being loaded into the vehicle correlates with the release number provided by the hauler; supplying information to callers, maintaining files, organizing and maintaining schedules and appointments; generating standard reports; producing correspondence; and providing support to the dispatch team as needed.Hiring Range: $25.00-$30.00/hour for qualified candidates!#INDSJ

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, 1-3 years of related industrial experience, a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment and be legally eligible to work in the US. Experience or interest in an environmental and/or sustainability field is preferred.

Outstanding relationship management skills, excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills are needed. Excellent organizational skills and a positive and professional mind-set are expected.Must have reliable transportation. CDL License is preferred.
