Ecowaste Solutions is seeking a Scale Operator at our Axis, AL landfill. You will weigh inbound and outbound vehicles, process transactions, and provide customers with accurate information for a smooth experience.

This full-time, on-site role offers weekly pay, health plans, an HSA option, retirement match, PTO, and life insurance. You will be a key face at the scale house, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong data entry accuracy and speed for transactions.
• Customer service or cashiering experience preferred.
• Excellent in-person and phone communication skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with good time management.
• Ability to work independently handling steady transactions.
• Experience with scale house or dispatch software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and drivers in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Weigh vehicles and record load/ticket information accurately.
• Verify information for accuracy on every transaction.
• Direct drivers to disposal areas clearly and accurately.
• Process payments and maintain transaction records.
• Monitor traffic flow and keep operations efficient.
• Maintain organized scale tickets and daily logs.
• Communicate site issues with staff as needed.
• Keep the scale house clean, organized, and stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
