Ecowaste Solutions in Axis, AL is seeking a Scale Operator to weigh inbound and outbound vehicles, process transactions, and provide accurate information to drivers for a smooth experience at the scale house.

You will maintain records, verify data, and assist with directing traffic and transferring load details. This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and professional communication in a fast-paced landfill environment.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills for inputting and verifying data.
• Previous customer service or cashiering experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both in person and by phone.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with solid time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a steady flow of transactions without supervision.
• Experience with scale house or dispatch software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and drivers promptly and professionally.
• Weigh inbound and outbound vehicles and record load/ticket information accurately.
• Verify customer and load information for accuracy on every transaction.
• Direct drivers to correct disposal areas clearly.
• Process customer payments and maintain transaction records.
• Monitor traffic flow and keep operations moving efficiently.
• Maintain organized records of scale tickets, transactions, and logs.
• Communicate with site staff regarding loads and issues on site.
• Ensure scale house is clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Other duties as assigned.
