Republic Services is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator at our Alabama post-collection site. You will monitor waste volumes, determine load eligibility for billing, and collect payments while maintaining accurate receipts and documentation.

Responsibilities include using truck scales and computer systems, coordinating with operations for special loads, and ensuring a clean work area while delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a position that required cash handling and balancing cash/receipts.
• Experience with computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record waste volumes entering the site and collect appropriate fees.
• Accept or reject waste loads based on content; advise on alternatives.
• Receive payments and provide receipts; balance daily receipts.
• Document waste using scales and computer systems; track totals.
• Notify operations of special loads and process required paperwork.
• Answer phones and provide general information; keep area clean.
