Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an EPC SCADA Project Manager II to lead utility-scale solar and BESS SCADA projects. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and risk, coordinating with owners, vendors, and internal teams.

The role supports design reviews, FAT, and closeout while maintaining adherence to SOLV standards. The position can be remote or hybrid with in‑office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple projects within multidisciplinary teams.
• 2–4 years of project management experience, including utility-scale PV solar projects.
• General knowledge of SCADA system design, setup, commissioning, and support.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cost budgets and project resources.
• Proven skills in issue escalation, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation.
• Experience with scheduling software (Oracle P6, Microsoft Project).
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI).
• Experience with task management tools (MS Teams, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems for project cost management, forecasting, and reporting (e.g., CMiC).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi‑disciplined organization.
• Strong team collaboration and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage SCADA scope, schedule, and budget for EPC projects of moderate complexity.
• Interpret SCADA contract requirements and ensure alignment with SOLV standards.
• Serve as primary contact for Owners, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams with engineers, technicians, and 3rd-party SCADA providers.
• Lead procurement and contract execution activities, including scope coordination and closeout.
• Work with field teams to ensure timely, high‑quality installation of SCADA components.
• Lead design reviews, commissioning, and FAT activities.
• Develop and manage project schedules to avoid delays to milestones.
• Prepare monthly cost reporting and forecasting for projects.
• Oversee project documentation (RFIs, changes, action tracking).
• Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, and execution risks.
• Maintain relationships with SOLV partners, clients, and vendors.
• Implement SOLV best practices in scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting.
• Lead project closeout and lessons learned and drive improvements.
