Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Engineer III or IV - SCADA to lead SCADA design and on-site integration for high voltage substation projects up to 500 kV. You will coordinate with engineering teams to produce robust design packages and apply standard engineering practices across a broad scope.

This role offers opportunities at both levels 3 and 4, with compensation determined by experience and location. Travel to project sites may be required up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification or achievement within 6 months; PE license preferred.
• 4+ years in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry.
• Basic programming knowledge and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and on-site integration of SCADA systems for utility-scale projects.
• Create/support network switch configs and SEL HMI/RTU programs.
• Develop fiber and communication diagrams supporting SCADA integration.
• Perform engineering calculations and assist with proposals and procurement.
• Travel up to 25% to project sites for SCADA integrations.
