Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a SCADA Support Specialist for its Bureau of Wastewater Treatment. This role leads SCADA system support across facilities, handling network, security, backup, and data management, with travel to other sites as needed.

You will be the SME for SCADA, coordinating with field technicians and IT to ensure reliable operation and ongoing upgrades of telemetry equipment and control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field with four years of related IT automation experience.
• Solid understanding of SCADA components, networking, security, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for SCADA systems including troubleshooting and resolution.
• Design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems and related OT infrastructure.
• Configure SCADA software/hardware; test and ensure proper operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve SCADA issues.
• Maintain documentation and ensure cyber-security compliance.
