Job summary

Onward Energy seeks a SCADA Engineer to design and maintain Ignition SCADA systems across renewable and gas assets. You will manage OT/SCADA equipment, develop data flows, and enable advanced analytics for reliable operations.

You will collaborate with IT and operations teams, ensure compliance, and support lifecycle refresh initiatives. A strong background in Ignition and PI, plus scripting, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3–6 years of experience preferred.
• Expert level proficiency in Inductive Automation Ignition and AVEA PI is mandatory.
• Experience with Renewable and Gas power systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with OT equipment such as SCADA, RTUs, PI historians, OPC, Modbus protocols is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System including gateways, screens, alarms, historian and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, servers and configurations, keep systems up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization of operational data.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment (RTUs, gate interfaces, data loggers).
• Coordinate with IT as primary contact for plant operations and ensure data reliability.
