Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flow across our fleet of gas, solar, and wind assets. The role collaborates with engineering and operations to ensure reliability in control and data systems.

The candidate will design, deploy, and maintain Ignition SCADA components, dashboards, and data integrations, while enabling analytics and AI initiatives. A strong background in Ignition, AVEA PI, and power systems is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–6 years of OT/SCADA experience.
Expert level Ignition and AVEA PI are mandatory.
Experience with renewable and gas power systems.
Familiarity with OT equipment such as SCADA systems, RTUs, PI data historians, and related protocols.
Ignition certification is preferred.
Python scripting experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to work across teams.
Valid U.S. driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain Ignition SCADA system components (Gateways, screens, alarms, historian, integration).
Manage OT SCADA equipment, servers, and device configurations; ensure systems are up to date.
Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for advanced analytics and visualization.
Troubleshoot connections among OT equipment (RTUs, gateways, PLCs, data loggers).
Maintain data connections between SCADA, data servers, and OEM systems (OPC, RTU, historians).
Coordinate with IT as primary liaison for plant operations.
Provide guidance for NERC CIP compliance for assets.
Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
