Job summary

United Future is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT assets and data flow across gas, solar and wind assets. You will work with site managers and engineering teams to ensure reliability of control and data systems.

The role requires hands-on Ignition expertise and familiarity with AVEA PI, RTUs, and OPC/Modbus protocols. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining Ignition SCADA, developing data visualizations, and coordinating with IT for plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3–6 years of experience may substitute for degree.
• Expert level proficiency in Inductive Automation Ignition and Avea PI is mandatory.
• Familiarity with OT equipment and renewable gas power systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System, including gateways, screens, alarms, historian and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, including servers and point configurations; ensure systems are up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for advanced analytics and visualization of OT data.
• Troubleshoot connections between OT equipment (controls systems, RIGs, RTUs, data loggers).
• Maintain data connections between Remote Operations Center, corporate data servers and OEM SCADA systems.
• Coordinate with IT as primary contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
