Ajax Building Company, part of STO Building Group, is seeking a relationship-driven Project Development Manager to grow our presence and project pipeline across South Carolina, with a focus on Charleston and the Lowcountry.

The role identifies new opportunities, builds trusted relationships with public and institutional clients, and leads pursuit strategy through RFQ/RFP responses and interviews, leveraging construction knowledge and strong communication skills to win high-quality work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction-industry roles related to development, BD, or sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, construction management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue opportunities across South Carolina, focusing on Charleston and the Lowcountry.
• Build trusted relationships with public and institutional clients and industry partners.
• Lead pursuit strategy through RFQ/RFP responses and interviews.
• Coordinate pursuit strategy and proposals with internal teams (marketing, preconstruction, operations, leadership).
• Maintain opportunity and pipeline data in CRM (Salesforce).
• Represent Ajax through market-facing activities and professional associations.
• Promote collaboration and Ajax’s commitment to quality.
