Job summary

New Edge Associates seeks a SBA Business Development Officer / Relationship Manager in Miami to originate and manage SBA 7(a) loan relationships for a community-focused firm. You will combine business development with relationship management, coordinating with credit, underwriting, and closing teams to structure transactions and ensure excellent client experience.

This role requires a strong network with centers of influence and a proven banking background.

Qualifications

• Experience in SBA lending or commercial banking.
• MUST HAVE BANKING EXPERIENCE.
• Strong relationship management and business development skills.
• Knowledge of SBA 7(a) programs and processes preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate SBA 7(a) loans through direct prospecting and referral sources.
• Build and maintain relationships with small business clients and centers of influence.
• Structure SBA loan requests and coordinate with internal teams through closing.
• Manage an active SBA portfolio and ensure strong client experience post-close.
• Maintain compliance with SBA guidelines and bank policies.
