Job summary

Banner Bank is seeking an SBA Business Development Officer to build meaningful client relationships and source SBA 7(a) lending opportunities across our Washington markets. You will deliver financing solutions that support local businesses, with a focus on credit analysis and loan structuring.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in commercial credit and business development, including SBA lending; you will operate independently while representing the bank in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).
• An equal combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• You have 4 or more years of experience in commercial credit and business development, including SBA lending (Required).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with new and existing small to mid-size business clients.
• Actively market and originate SBA 7(a) lending opportunities.
• Identify and develop new business relationships to grow your portfolio.
• Prepare and present credit analyses and lending recommendations.
• Structure, underwrite, and negotiate loan terms and conditions within delegated authority.
• Perform credit reviews to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and manage loan portfolio performance through ongoing reviews and analysis.
• Represent the bank through community involvement and networking activities to increase awareness of our products and services.
• Operate independently while managing lending opportunities and client relationships across assigned markets.
