This company specializes in SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and USDA loan programs, with a strong emphasis on speed, service, and execution.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SBA Business Development Officer (BDO) with a proven track record of producing $8M+ annually in SBA loan volume. This is a high-impact, fully remote role focused on sourcing and closing SBA and USDA loans across the U.S. Ideal candidates will have deep experience with SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and USDA loan programs. This candidate should also have a well-established referral network, and a passion for helping small businesses grow.

Franchise lending experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and USDA loans nationwide with a focus on small to mid-sized businesses
  • Consistently produce a minimum of $8M+ in annual SBA loan volume
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources including brokers, accountants, attorneys, franchisors, and commercial real estate professionals
  • Identify and structure complex financing opportunities that meet both borrower and credit requirements
  • Partner with internal credit, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure smooth and timely funding of loans
  • Stay current on SBA/USDA program guidelines and changes
  • Represent the bank and SBA division at networking and industry events (virtual and in-person as applicable)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of SBA lending experience
  • Demonstrated track record of originating $8M+ in SBA loan volume annually
  • Expertise in SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and USDA loan programs
  • Franchise lending experience is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of credit structuring and SBA eligibility requirements
  • Existing network of referral sources
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote, self-driven pipeline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
