Sur La Table is seeking a Chef Instructor, Savory to serve as in-store expert and advocate for savory cooking. You’ll deliver hands-on classes, promote cookware sales, and provide personalized instruction aligned with company standards.

You will stay current on products, assist with class setup, and ensure safety and cleanliness while helping guests discover culinary skills and joy in cooking.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Culinary arts degree preferred; extensive experience may substitute.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Passion for community engagement and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table by creating memorable, educational experiences.
• Deliver savory cooking classes to drive sales and enrollment.
• Explain cooking concepts in a clear, encouraging manner.
• Stay current on products and participate in available training.
• Assist with class setup, mise en place, prep, and cleanup.
• Maintain kitchen safety, inventory and compliance with health regs.
