Sur La Table in-store Chef Instructor, Savory leads hands-on savory cooking classes and shares techniques to inspire customers while driving product engagement. You’ll demonstrate fundamentals, tailor sessions to guest levels, and represent the brand with enthusiasm.

Setup and breakdown, clean workstations, and collaboration with store teams are essential. Culinary degree preferred; practical kitchen experience and Food Manager Certification valued.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; extensive culinary experience may substitute.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Deliver in-store savory cooking classes and drive sales of cookware and kitchen tools.
• Explain technical cooking concepts clearly and in a friendly, approachable manner.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and participate in available training.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of classes, including mise en place and cleaning workstations.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and store policies during all classes.
