Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Systems Engineer to operate and improve OTA and security feature rollout processes for Leo Satellites. You will be hands-on with releases, plan rollouts, monitor deployments, triage field issues, and ensure hardware variants receive safe updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute OTA and Security Operation rollouts end-to-end, preparing rollout plans, configuring device targeting and eligibility rules, staging deployments, and monitoring progress through GA.
• Monitor fleet health during rollouts, tracking success/failure rates, device telemetry, and key health indicators, escalating anomalies per runbooks.
• Triage deployment failures and stalled updates, diagnosing root causes and coordinating resolution with firmware and operations teams.
• Maintain and improve rollout runbooks, SOPs, checklists, and go/no-go decision criteria.
• Build and maintain operational dashboards and reports for rollout status, fleet coverage, and update adoption metrics.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks, scripting rollout preparation, health checks, and reporting to reduce manual toil and human error.
