Amazon Leo is building a unified platform to empower Leo engineers to see how code affects satellite operations, enabling real-time root-cause attribution and automated narrative generation.

The OTA Rolling out team seeks a Software Development Engineer to drive OTA software updates to millions of Customer Terminals across hardware variants, ensuring safe, reliable, and rapid updates at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Have experience with OTA update systems, fleet management platforms, or large-scale device management.
• Have experience with staged/progressive rollout strategies and automated release safety mechanisms.
• Have experience building observability and anomaly detection for device fleets.
• Highly analytical: solve problems with data-backed approaches and drive processes and tooling.
• Technically fearless and willing to push beyond conventional boundaries.
• Engaged by ambiguity and able to identify gaps and fill them to deliver value to customers.
