Amazon Leo is building a satellite-based internet service with a focus on secure, reliable communications. We are seeking a software engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems, C/C++, and Linux to drive the design, development, and operation of critical security capabilities across the satellite lifecycle.

You will collaborate with hardware teams for board bring-up and verification, while following best practices for high-reliability software.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and operate embedded security capabilities for satellite systems.
Develop software to payload Radio and Payload Mode Management (C, C++ or other) in embedded Linux.
Collaborate with hardware teams for board bring-up, verification, and integration.
Follow best practices for high reliability embedded software development for satellite security and reliability.
Contribute to Satellite Communication Systems Payload and related subsystems.
