Job summary

Amazon Leo is a satellite broadband initiative. As Security Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of security engineers and program managers responsible for Leo product security, enterprise systems, and manufacturing security.

You will shape long-term strategy, drive security initiatives, and partner with cross‑functional teams to raise the security bar across the program. You will mentor engineers, grow talent, manage delivery of complex projects, and communicate security risks and roadmaps

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing and developing teams experience.
• 5+ years of progressive work within a software security team or related operating environment experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Knowledge of security of web services, video content protection technologies, cryptography, network security protocols and operating system security
• Experience in managing and developing teams
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, degree in similar technical field, or equivalent professional experience can be used in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Security Engineering management
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing or leading engineering teams
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
• Preferred Certifications and advanced degrees in information security are advantageous
• Experience managing remote team members
• 7+ years of Software Development or Software Development Management or Security Engineering Management experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to translate complex issues into clear concepts
• Knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle practices
