Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking an Equipment Engineer to lead the lifecycle of manufacturing equipment for our next generation spacecraft. You will define system requirements, drive design with suppliers, and oversee integration, testing, and maintenance programs to maximize uptime and capacity.

The role requires hands-on experience with prototyping, PLC/DAQ systems, and reading electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

Experience with prototyping and implementation.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Ability to read and develop rack elevation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
Experience with PLC and DAQ systems.

Responsibilities

Develop system requirements, and partner with development groups to drive detail design of new equipment.
Participate in sourcing plans for complex equipment (COTS & custom).
Lead equipment integration & site acceptance testing.
Develop troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and spares plans for equipment.
Support 2nd line escalation of critical equipment downtime.
Specify & develop facilities interface requirements (power, network, space, LN2/GN2, PCW).
Train & support equipment technicians responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshoot, etc.
