Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a software engineer to drive embedded security functions across satellite lifecycles, from design to de‑orbit. You will implement payload software in C/ C++ within an embedded Linux system and work with hardware teams on bring‑up, verification, and test.

You will contribute to high‑reliability software practices and collaborate across teams to ensure robust satellite security and operation in space environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design/architecture experience on systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing multi‑tier embedded/distributed software.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, development, and operation of embedded security capabilities for satellites.
• Develop software for payload radio and payload mode management in C, C++, or other languages.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up, verification, and test.
• Follow high reliability embedded software practices to ensure security and reliability.
