Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a software engineer to drive design, development, and operation of embedded security capabilities across satellite lifecycles. You will develop payload software in C/C++ for an embedded Linux system and work closely with hardware teams on board bring-up and verification.

The role focuses on high reliability, power-efficient satellite avionics and the Satellite Communication Systems Payload.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, embedded or distributed software apps and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

Drive design, development, and operation of embedded security capabilities for satellites.
Develop software to payload Radio and Payload Mode Management in C, C++, or other languages.
Collaborate with hardware teams for board bring-up, verification, and integration.
Follow best practices for high reliability embedded software to ensure security and reliability.
Contribute to the Satellite Communication Systems Payload.
