Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute across the full software lifecycle for satellite systems in a real-time environment.

You will develop embedded code in C/C++/Rust, design software for constellation operations, and collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up and testing. A leadership role in design and mentoring is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment.
• Architect, design, and implement software for satellite constellation.
• Write software to interact with devices/electronics using I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, etc.
• Write device drivers and system applications for flight code and flight management.
• Work closely with hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing.
