Job Title: SAP-SRM/ Ariba Technical Lead

Location: Lake County, IL 60064 (Open for REMOTE)

Payrate: Can go up to $114per hour (Flexible)

W2 contract only (No C2C)

Role Overview:

This role will support the Phase 0 analysis for applications within the R&D FinOps domain that integrate with SAP/SRM. The SAP-SRM/Ariba Technical Lead/BSA will play a key role in reviewing the design, development, and implementation of SAP-SRM and Ariba solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements. This includes scalability, security, and seamless integration across the "source-to-pay" procurement lifecycle—encompassing sourcing, contracting, and purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design:

• Understand procurement processes, including sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and invoice management
• Analyze business requirements and pain points to develop comprehensive SAP-SRM and Ariba solutions
• Ensure integration with other enterprise systems

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP-SRM and Ariba modules: Sourcing, Contract Management, Procurement, Supplier Management, Spend Analytics
• Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture, data models, APIs, web services, and middleware
• Familiarity with data management and exposure to PL/SQL
• Working knowledge of Salesforce

Configuration & Customization:

• Customize SAP Ariba to align with business workflows and processes, including UI design and data mapping

Integration Management:

• Design and implement integrations with SAP ECC/S4HANA, CRM systems, and third-party applications
• Lead SAP-SRM and Ariba implementation projects
• Coordinate with stakeholders, manage development teams, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with the full SAP-SRM and Ariba suite, including:
• Ariba Network
• Ariba Buying and Invoicing
• Ariba Catalogs
• Ariba Contracts
• Ariba Sourcing
• Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance
• Ariba Integration (CIG, Web Services)
• Experience with SAP ECC 6.0, S/4HANA, and integration with non-ERP systems

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assess the impact of SAP SRM replacement across integrated R&D FinOps applications
• Expand knowledge of applications such as Tonkean and Coupa relevant to Project Genesis
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to map existing workflows and identify process gaps
• Document current vs. new processes and ensure alignment with project goals
• Work closely with the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team to identify and manage BOT impacts during the SRM replacement

Ongoing Support (BAU):

• Perform day-to-day activities to meet departmental/project objectives
• Conduct root cause analysis for complex issues
• Support minor demand management, incident handling, and assist application suppliers
• Design and implement innovative technical solutions as needed

Qualifications:

• 3–8 years of experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA MM procurement-related configuration
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more SAP-SRM and Ariba modules
• At least 3 years of technical experience with SAP-SRM and Ariba integration
• Proven experience with SAP Ariba configuration
• Strong functional and technical understanding of the MM module and its integration with FI
• Experience with global SAP-SRM and/or Ariba rollouts across Americas, EMEA, and Asia
• SAP Ariba Integration Certification is highly desirable
