Job summary

Performance Food Group, through Performance Foodservice, is hiring for a Sanitation, Warehouse position in Glen Allen, VA. The role supports a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment with daily janitorial tasks.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, 12pm–8:30pm, and benefits start Day 1, including health, 401(k) matching, and education assistance. Candidates will perform cleaning duties, comply with safety policies, and operate a pallet jack when required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash pickup.
• Maintains health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Operates pallet jack to transport refuse to receptacles.
• Reports unsafe conditions and completes required training.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• May work in dry, cooler, and freezer areas.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ years general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in warehouse environment
