Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe work environment in our Batesville, MS facility. You will perform janitorial tasks, handle chemicals per safety guidelines, and support cleanup across dry, cooler and freezer areas.

Responsibilities include timely completion of tasks, reporting unsafe conditions, and assisting with trainings. Prior experience in warehouse sanitation is preferred; this role requires reliability and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and safe warehouse areas including dry, cooler and freezer zones.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Handles cleaning chemicals per hazmat material sheets and safety policies.
• Completes safety trainings and may operate pallet jack for waste transport.
• Assists with other janitorial duties as assigned.

Education

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
