Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a sanitation associate for our warehouse operations. You will perform general cleaning, operate floor scrubbers and vacuums, and contribute to a safe working environment in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role requires ability to lift up to 85 lbs, pallet jack use, and adherence to safety policies. Training and benefits are provided, with schedule Sunday–Thursday evenings and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including floor scrubber, floor vacuum, etc.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 85 lbs.
• Ability to work at a fast pace while standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Operates cleaning equipment and uses cleaning chemicals per hazmat sheets.
• Completes sanitation tasks and reports unsafe conditions.
• Handles pallet jack to move refuse to proper receptacles.
• Completes required safety training modules.
• Performs additional janitorial duties as assigned.

Sunday- Thursday 5:00 PM- 1:30 AM - will have required Over time

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• Will require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• Will be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work at a fast pace while standing, walking, bending, and squatting throughout the entire shift
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ years general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in warehouse environment
• Pallet jack experience
