Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a sanitation associate to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. You’ll perform janitorial tasks across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, following health and safety guidelines and training modules.

This role requires forklift proximity, chemical handling, and readiness for overtime on a Sunday–Thursday schedule. The position emphasizes safety, efficient cleaning, and reliable shift performance, supporting broad foodservice distribution operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including floor scrubber, floor vacuum, pressure washer, lawn mower, and snow blower.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 85 lbs.
• Ability to work at a fast pace while standing, walking, bending, and squatting throughout the shift.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports unsafe conditions or acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat sheets.
• Operates pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments timely and accurately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Sunday- Thursday 5:00 PM- 1:30 AM - will have required Over time

Position Purpose:

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

• Will be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
