Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Augusta, ME is seeking a dedicated Sanitation, Warehouse associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient food-distribution site. In this role you perform janitorial tasks across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, follow health and safety policies, handle trash and recycling, and assist with pallet-jack transport as needed.

The position runs Sunday through Thursday with a 7:00 AM start; company benefits include Day 1 health coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Sunday through Thursday
• 7:00AM Start Time

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• May be required to operate pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Break / repack full cases to small cases to reduce spoilage and lost inventory.
• Will be responsible for recycling plastic and cardboard as needed.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.

• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Break / repack full cases to small cases.in the most timely and efficient manner as to reduce spoilage and lost inventory.
• Will be responsible for recycling plastic and cardboard as needed.
