Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to uphold a clean and safe warehouse environment. You will perform general janitorial tasks across dry, cooler and freezer areas and may operate a pallet jack to move items and waste.

Reliable completion of tasks and adherence to safety policies are essential. Qualifications include a High School diploma and 6+ months in sanitation or janitorial work, plus ability to pass a background check.

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pallet jack experience

Responsibilities

• Performs general janitorial, cleaning and sanitation tasks in warehouse facilities (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Maintains clean and safe work environment per health and safety policies.
• Operates pallet jack to move refuse/trash and transport supplies as needed.
• Completes work assignments timely and accurately and participates in Pure Safety training.

Position Purpose

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience
