Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Sanitation to join our on-site team in Arkansas. You will supervise the sanitation crew, drive improvements, and coordinate with management to ensure top cleanliness and safety standards across shifts.

Ideal candidates bring 6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience, fluency in English and Spanish, and basic computer skills. This role demands adherence to PPE protocols and active engagement with customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology.
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations while wearing PPE.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise, and support sanitation crew under Site Manager.
• Report accidents, downtime, and plant issues to Site Manager daily.
• Coordinate with Corporate office on logs, payroll, and orders.
• Conduct weekly internal safety audits for staff and equipment.
• Set and track goals to ensure safe, clean, and on-time work.
• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members; manage hours and grievances.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and safety handbooks.
• Assist in training programs including safety and ERP initiatives.
• Act as liaison with customers and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Attend sanitation meetings and communicate customer responsibilities.
