Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse Associate to uphold a clean and safe work environment in our port Saint Lucie facility. You will perform general janitorial tasks across dry, cooler and freezer areas and assist with warehouse sanitation as directed.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of sanitation or janitorial experience, a high school diploma or GED, and pass a post-offer drug test and background check. Pallet jack experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pallet jack experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
