Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a dedicated Sanitation, Warehouse associate to uphold a clean and safe workplace across dry, cooler, and freezer areas. You will perform general janitorial tasks, follow health and safety policies, and support our distribution operations in Port Saint Lucie.

Responsibilities include dusting, sweeping, mopping, waste handling, and following hazmat guidelines. Prior sanitation or janitorial experience is preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ months sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned safety training modules.
• May operate pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

2+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

1+ years general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in warehouse environment

Pallet jack experience
