Job summary

Performance Food Group in the United States (Tampa, FL) is seeking a Sanitation/Warehouse Associate to maintain a clean, safe work environment in the warehouse, including dry, refrigerated areas. You will follow health and safety policies and support daily cleaning tasks.

You will perform janitorial duties, handle cleaning chemicals, and participate in mandatory safety training. The role offers opportunities to contribute to a safe, efficient food distribution operation and to be part of a team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets
• Completes required Pure Safety training modules timely
• May operate pallet jack to transport refuse to appropriate receptacles
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
