Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a warehouse sanitation and janitorial associate to maintain a clean and safe work environment across dry, cooler, and freezer areas. You will perform general cleaning, adhere to health and safety policies, and handle cleaning chemicals as directed.

The role emphasizes safety, timely completion of trainings, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Benefits are available and a drug test/background check will follow offer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ months general sanitation/cleaning/janitorial experience preferred.
• Must pass post-offer drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and sanitation tasks in warehouse, including dry, cooler and freezer areas.
• Follow safety policies, report unsafe conditions or acts.
• Handle cleaning chemicals per hazmat guidelines; maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Operate pallet jack for transporting refuse and supplies as needed.
• Complete assigned training modules in a timely manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
