Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate in Glen Allen, VA. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitation, and safety tasks across warehouse areas to maintain a clean and safe workspace.

You will use cleaning chemicals under hazmat guidance, operate a pallet jack, and complete safety trainings. Prior sanitation/janitorial experience is preferred; a HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months sanitation/cleaning/janitorial experience preferred.
• Must pass post-offer drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial, cleaning and sanitation duties in warehouse areas (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Handle cleaning chemicals per hazmat sheets and safety policies.
• Operate pallet jack to transport refuse and supplies.
• Complete required Pure Safety training modules in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

1+ years general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in warehouse environment

Pallet jack experience
