Job summary

Cheney Brothers in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe workplace across dry, cooler and freezer areas. You will perform general janitorial tasks and support daily warehouse operations.

The role emphasizes adherence to health and safety policies, timely completion of required training, and the ability to work with cleaning chemicals. Prior sanitation or janitorial experience is preferred, with pallet jack familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Preferred: 1+ years general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in warehouse environment.
• Pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
