Job summary

Cooper Farms is seeking 2nd shift Sanitation team members to join our St. Henry facility in Mercer County, Ohio. This entry-level position offers training and a chance to contribute to a USDA/HACCP-compliant environment, with emphasis on cleanliness and safety.

Shift hours are 12:30pm-9:00pm or 3:30pm-12:30am, starting pay $18.75 per hour, with potential increase after 90 days. Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses are available, plus benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment and surfaces; document work.
• Remove debris from processing equipment, floors and surrounding areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe plant per USDA/AQ/HACCP sanitation requirements.
• Wear proper PPE when using chemicals or cleaning supplies.

Our St. Henry Harvesting plant in Mercer County, Ohio, prepares the turkeys for further processing and distribution. Cooper Farms is currently seeking 2nd shift Sanitation team members to join our team in St. Henry.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm or 3:30pm-12:30am

STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.75 with the potential increase to $19.60 after 90 days

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:

• Being responsible for cleaning equipment and surfaces as well as documenting work in the turkey harvesting facility.
• Removing all debris accumulated throughout the day on the processing equipment, floor and surrounding areas.
• Maintaining a clean and safe plant while adhering to all USDA/AQ/HACCP requirements for sanitation operations.
• Being responsible for wearing proper PPE when using chemicals or cleaning supplies.
