Job summary

The City of Alexandria's Transportation & Environmental Services is seeking a Sanitary Infrastructure Division Manager to lead planning, management, and improvement of the sanitary sewer system and related programs. This role provides strategic direction, oversees the CIP and operating budget, and collaborates with engineers, regulators, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE licensure in Virginia.
• Eight years of progressively responsible engineering experience including project management, infrastructure design and construction.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Driver's license issued by the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Lead sanitary sewer programs and the Sanitary Sewer CIP and operating budgets.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership to engineers and project implementation staff.
• Coordinate with city staff, regulators, stakeholders, and partners to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee contract administration and ensure projects are properly planned, funded, and delivered.
