Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is seeking a Sanctions Advisory Vice President within the Government Sanctions Group (GSG) of FCC to strengthen the firm’s sanctions compliance program.

• 6+ years of sanctions advisory experience at a global financial institution or equivalent
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent investigative and analytical abilities

• Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance
• Ability to manage multiple priority projects and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Liaise with business, operations, and technology divisions to provide expert guidance on sanctions matters
• Conduct assessments and investigations of sanctions issues, including escalations under US/UK/EU regulations
• Advise on sanctions controls within the broader compliance framework
• Assist in managing regulatory and internal audit examinations and engage with OFAC and other agencies
• Ensure metrics, deadlines, and record-keeping obligations are met
• Contribute to sanctions governance forums and deliver sanctions training to GS employees
• Note: Basic bachelor-level qualification required for role
